Acupuncture Foundation Ireland

Ireland’s Premiere Institute of Chinese Medicine
AFI is Ireland’s Premiere Institute of Chinese Medicine. The college has been successfully training Chinese Medicine for over thirty years. Graduates are now practicing in Ireland, the UK, USA, Australia and elsewhere internationally. Their courses meet international best practice standards and are professionally accredited in Ireland and the UK through the IAAB (Irish Acupuncture Accreditation Board) and TCMAB (Traditional Chinese Medicine Accreditation Board) in the UK.

PEFOTS

European Federation representing TCM organizations in European countries
The Pan European Federation of TCM Societies (PEFOTS) represents TCM organizations in European countries. PEFOTS members represent countries across Europe and therefore their member practitioners. Members are active in European and Global policy making of Chinese medicine sector and have agreed a European educational and training standard which is aligned to the WFCMS standard of training for acupuncturists and Chinese medicine practitioners.

WFAS

International Academic Organization of Chinese Medicine
We are founding members of WFAS (The World Federation of TCM Societies) since 1987, representing our alumni and the professional sector.  We have contributed to global WFAS studies, attended and participated in conferences, and promoted CM throughout our activities, both in Ireland, and the EU. WFAS has long cooperated with the WHO in the training and practice of Acupuncturists and TCM practitioners.

WFCMS

International Academic Organization of Chinese Medicine
WFCMS is an international academic organization with 195 member societies in 57 countries and regions. WFCMS has 31 Specialty Committees that covers different aspect of Chinese medicine. WFCMS also works in Chinese medicine standardization, examination and accreditation of Chinese medicine practitioners, medical ethics, clinical guidelines, education and training, research etc. The mission is to promoting the understanding and cooperation among the academic groups of Chinese medicine globally, to strengthening the international academic exchange, improving their qualifications for Chinese medicine, to maintain healthy development of Chinese medicine, working to have Chinese medicine gain access to the medical system in different countries, to promote the exchange and cooperation among Chinese medicine and other medicines in the world and, therefore, making greater contributions to the health of mankind.
